Bans against data centers have been passed in other parts of Florida.
City of Alachua Prepares to Open the Door to Data Centers Tuesday, Sept 8th 6pm (tentatively postponed to 9/29)
Despite overwhelming public opposition, proposed Comprehensive Plan language would allow data centers on industrial-zoned land. The first hearing is Tuesday, September 8 at 6pm. If you don’t want data centers in Alachua, now is the time to speak up.
